I’m not one to be disappointed in a plate of food, but I think I’m there this time. That sucks :/
CorruptDictator
I have never had a good meal at an outback in my life.
FreeFall_777
They gave you 5 stalks of asparagus, and probably up charged you $3 from a normal side. The new world of eating out is insane.
Ok_Zookeepergame5141
Why did you even go? Should have just ordered something to drink.
Rhodin265
Couldn’t they at least serve it on a smaller plate so you’d have the illusion of a decent portion?
Timely-Cry-8366
I eat at Outback regularly (my mom loves it) and it never looks like this. Feels fake.
anonymous_subroutine
Don’t eat at chain restaurants, they are all ripoffs
JetPuffedDo
Man Im sorry they gave that to you. I got the Groupon and it was only $25 per person for their three course meal and it was great

Which Outback was this at?? My husband and I eat there pretty often and it never looks like this.

Looks like someone in the kitchen didn’t care at all.

Went to outback for my fiance and mines anniversary one year and it was the most depressing meal I’ve ever eaten. So expensive and for what? We stole the salt and pepper shakers when we left.
Nyanzeenyan
Is that supposed to be a baked potato?
catdogfox
No rules, just right

Huh?

What does “on a cut” mean?
vexyla
Hmmm it’s not asparagus season at all
Lovat69
Damn, they need smaller plates.
DresdenMurphy
Yeah. No. I’m having a hard time considering this to be true.
You’d have to have no standards as a chef/cook to ever serve this to a customer.
OverallUnstable
I bet you the managing partner was in the expo window with that portion size of asparagus
ChefArtorias
I worked for outback for years and it is crazy to see how far downhill they’ve come.

This truly looks sad
ChefAsstastic
Haha wtf is this?

Chain steak houses are really dependent on individual locations. Ive been to Outbacks that made amazing steaks. But I’ve also been to ones that are basically dog food.

I’m calling bs. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but I have never left not completely full. They usually give you a huge potato/sweet potato and lots of vegetables. Plus you get lots of decent bread.
Plus 24 is not too bad compared to fast food prices
warrior5715
That potato looks like a coin pouch from runescape
jeffnorris
That is bullshit. I saw where they just closed a lot of locations, makes sense now.
ImpressionStrict4041
Nah I don’t believe it. He said he’s cutting so he probably just asked for no seasoning or toppings except salt or pepper. Of course the meal is going to look like shit.
As mid as outback is, I’ve never had the meal look like this before and never have I seen other people at the restaurant have a meal like this.
The real question is why you are going to a restaurant to ask for this when you could just prep it at home? Or at the very least don’t complain it looks like this lol
Significant_Hat2993
Op is “on a cut” they gave him exactly what he ordered.

outback must have a quality control problem. most people online say the food is good and have other gripes, but I went last week and had the most disgusting meal I’ve had in awhile. the filet tasted like blood and was tough as leather, the apps were burned and they couldn’t bring anything to temp. this pic is actually a huge step up and I can’t help but notice that the outback in my area (christiansburg, va) uses the big thick asparagus and these are the smaller ones.

You go to Outback to eat good. Not when you’re cutting lol.
